Howdy all,

Hope everyone returned safely from a terrific conference in Baltimore. Hats off to the local committee, it was a great 4 days of papers, receptions, and activities.

Have a whatsit? question for the group. Please see the pictures on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/74111493@N02/

This little jug stands just over 8 inches tall, appears to be coil made and has several handmade design features. It is lowfired earthenware, no glaze, no slip, probably locally made,  It was recently found in a creek bank near the Brazos River southeast of Houston, Tx. If anyone has ideas on its design origins, use, etc. we would love to hear your thoughts.
