ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

In Buxton, UK, close to my home town, the 'Micrarium' opened over 25 years
ago, with amazingly designed, purely optical projecting microscopes. It was
a truly wonderful place but the over-zealous local planning authority would
not allow any external signs to tell people what it was. It closed some time
ago. My near-neighbour, the son-in-law of its founder now supplies
interactive microscopes, video microscopes and magnifiers to museums and
science centres worldwide: http://www.micrariumenterprises.co.uk/

I myself designed a very simple video microscope plus an optional base with
a built-in projector:

Give people facts and you feed their minds for an hour.
Awaken curiosity and they feed their own minds for a lifetime.
