Your idea might include gymnasts whose trainers kept them so calorie deprived as to hold off puberty. In theory to keep their center of gravity from shifting lower. Rules changed to stop that, but did they all?

adolescence/puberty. Something I'd like to study more closely (and others
are interested in, as well) is the effect of calorie restriction on
specific hormones that we already know are linked to mammary gland
development during puberty -- progesterone is a big one. It makes logical
sense that the body shuts down reproductive function during periods of
severe calorie restriction ... perhaps this will be another point to chalk
up in favor of considering breastfeeding a reproductive function.
