When a mom is doing a lot of pumping every day, the time needed to wash the
pump parts may be what causes the most frustration. The tubing does not
need to be washed. If she puts the pump bodies (flanges, etc.) under
refrigeration or in her cooler pack with ice packs they do not need to be
washed every time.

Under refrigeration, any milk drops will be preserved. She can thoroughly
wash all the pump parts once a day. She can run the flange under warm
water before the next pumping to make it more comfortable to put to the
breast. This may help a mom to be able to persevere a little longer and
enjoy her baby and her breastfeeding a little more.
