My oldest had eczema, thought it started at 2 years, not 4 months, and it really helped when I started giving cod liver oil and probiotics.  It was almost completely gone within a couple weeks of giving her them, and when I'd forget for a while, the eczema would flare up again.  
 
On a completely different subject, let's not knock our fellow Lactnetters for the choices they've made regarding formula.  That's what worked in her family.  Let it go.  You don't have to be "right."
