Rachel and Lactnet: Please be assured that ILCA looks at, cares about and
advocates for ILCA IBCLC members having reimbursement, insurance and
licensure problems all over the world, no matter where they live and no
matter what work setting they have.

Yes, recent active threads have discussed one insurance company in the USA.

But we are hearing about issues now in New Zealand, Canada, France,
Australia, and the United Kingdom where matters of how IBCLC-level
lactation support work is defined, and paid for. Research in the UK (Sarah
Brown) and Canada (Joy Noel-Weiss) and here in the USA (Aimee Eden) are
looking at the professional issues IBCLCs face, including payment for what
they do (and) affordable or fully-reimbursed access to their services by
mothers.
