Thanks all for examples of art and science collaborations.  

NYSCI has been working on this front for a while.  Here is a link to the PDF version of a 2006 catalog we did of work we have commissioned or otherwise acquired over the decades, with a wonderful essay from Anne Balsamo of USC.  www.nysci.org/media/file/NYSCI_Intersections.pdf

So far, it does appear that ReGeneration will be the largest art/science exhibition of commissioned work in a US science center.  Don't want to tread on any toes, but do want to claim credit for PR/etc  so please let me know on/off list if there is something I am missing.

STEAM as an acronym gives me the willies, I think because it papers over some really interesting challenges.
