This may actually be a form of allergic reaction. Allergies take many
forms.
Some reactions may make a person dopey, others may stimulate.
If a Benadryl or two overcomes the pollen effect, IMO, that would tend
to confirm
that suspicion, IMO.
Last I heard, Benadryl is suggested as a recommended response to bee
sting and other allergic symptoms -- along with seeking medical help if
there is
a chance the reaction may become life-threatening.
