It was said by one of the paid contributors to American Bee Journal: "Well
that's a pretty sad statement. That would imply that most US beekeepers
don't read the American Bee Journal, in which all three of us are
published. I hope the word doesn't get out, since the ABJ depends on
advertising revenue and they would hope that many if not most are reading
their magazine. I recommend it."
I have subscribed twice to American Bee Journal over the past ten years -
the second a few months ago - and both times I cancelled my subscription.
If you like reading news from bee clubs in California or Alabama when you
live in Maine - not to mention the obituary of a beekeeper who was
President of his bee club in Iowa (and was a really great guy) - or the
price of honey in Turkey - then possibly this magazine is for you, not me.
Most beekeepers don't subscribe to ABJ ... and for good reason. Page after
page after page of its content is boring, irrelevant, or both.
