Hi, Geoff.  One problem with bilingual labeling is the volume of text — everything has to be repeated twice, which can result in graphic panels that are very dense and not particularly inviting.  Gyroscope designed an exhibit for the Chicago Children's Museum that solved that problem by minimizing text and using photography and graphic images wherever possible to convey the instructions and interpretive messages.  The text that we did use was both in English and Spanish, which makes the exhibit welcoming for visitors whose primary language is Spanish.
