I have had similar issues with bees and pools. If solutions are started
early enough (sprinkler) the problem can be eased. Once the bees are
getting water from the pool very hard to stop.
The only issue is getting stung stepping on a bee. Never had a aggressive
issue.
I once had people with a outside sauna complain and when I explained the
poor bees were simply trying to get water to cool their hive the people said
not a problem and simply watched where they stepped and actually fascinated
watching the bees arrive, pick up water and leave.

The public is interested in the welfare of bees these days.

I saw a new book at "Half Price Books" on the plight of the bees. I wrote
the title down and the authors but can't find the paper. The introduction
uses the quote often discussed and says (inaccurate) was by Albert Einstein.
I guess a book was done off the other books.
