I've used the Jenter kits for several years, and have not noticed any difference between success with new cups and reused cups. My own introduction of the kit involves wetting the plastic comb with sugar syrup and introducing it into the colony a minimum of 24 h before confining the queen. In a strong colony, this triggers more than adequate cleaning of the cell cups.
