I have never used it frozen but I have used it fresh for pinkeye. I also used it when I wore soft contacts to rinse out a contact that had something in it, if I was away from home. It made the contact cloudy for a minute but worked very well and I thought it was safer and more comfortable to my eye, than tap water.
I often wished that I had frozen some milk for later use. I lactated for 10 years and I became so accustomed to having that milk available.
We have used fresh raw goat's milk for pink eye with great success, but this was when I was no longer lactating.
