We focus on the education/presentation/performance skills when selecting , of course a science back ground is a plus but not necessary.
Usually the science content that has to be presented can be learned.
We always take care that in the team there are a few people with a science background.

Hi all,

I'm hoping you can help settle a recent [friendly] debate with a colleague: When hiring your front-line education staff to teach programs (i.e. classes; for us that's a small army of part timers), how many of you hire for education/presentation/performance background vs science background (recognizing that both is ideal!).
Thanks in advance!
