Prof. ( Anthropology) Melvin Konner visited Israel for 6 weeks this past
spring and lectured before doctors and nurses as my guest at my hospital and
also at our mutual Palestine/Israel midwife organization on the book " The
Evolution of Childhood" and other projects that he has been involved in... I
suggest that you enter his website - he has done amazing, extremely
interesting, mind blowing work....He will be pleased to know that he was
mentioned on our LIST

Is anyone reading or has read Melvin Konner's "The Evolution of Childhood"?
I've just started this and it is exciting in it's scope - from cross
cultural ethnographic research to brain science to evolutionary pediatrics .
. . . and more.
And the detail of the research. Primary sources throughout.
The text is dense for someone with only one anthropology and one biology
course at the undergraduate level, hence I'm looking for a on-line study
group of sorts . . . or guidance from someone.
I'm also curious that this name hasn't come up before on the lecture
circuit, or has it?
My sense is that this a mind worth knowing.
Warmly,
