Going Where the Girls Are
Friday, September 30 | 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
This workshop for informal educators will increase awareness about the importance of gender equity and cultural competency in science, technology, engineering, and math and how to use this awareness to build and implement culturally competent programming. Strategies will be discussed for identifying and maximizing partnerships to reach girls in your region by capitalizing on activities and organizations in which girls are already involved. Successful partnerships between Science Centers and "girl-friendly" organizations will be highlighted.
This workshop is free, but requires advance registration.
