Dear colleagues,
Over the last half year, I have been very busy and I foresaw that, so I went no mail in February, after having been no mail a couple of months in autumn as well.
Now, with all the new IBLCE-documents coming through, I feel like going back to ‘mail’ again, as Lactnet seems the place to find kindred spirits and to see how others feel about it and what they have done.
I have not investigated the archives yet, but I reckon there will be much concern about the Code of Professional Conduct as a replacement for the Code of Ethics and also about the new one, announced this last week, concerning conflicts of interest. What a messy document it is... incredible! Seems like with the title, all ethics have been thrown overboard! What can we do?
I look forward to seeing all the familiar names and powerful opinions appearing on my screen again!
Best regards,
Marianne Vanderveen IBCLC, Netherlands (and willing to share what she sent to IBLCE with regard to the CoPC)
