Hello colleagues,

We are are creating a wish list for our foundation of technology tools we'd like to have for STEM programming. One of the items on our list is video microscopes.

The Eyeclops has been suggested, the Bionic Eye and/or Bionicam -- web site: http://eyeclops.com/ Both get mostly good user reviews, but for home use. They are sold in the toy section of major retailers, which makes the durability suspect, especially for the price, $60 (Bionic Eye) - $120 (cam); you can't expect a lot.

2 questions:

1. Does anyone have experience with Eyeclops products in a museum setting, letting kids use them on their own with supervision.

2. Can anyone recommend alternate products? We are looking for equipment to put in kids' hands and buying several to make available around our system.

We would like to know about the quality of the image, ease of use and durability.

Any suggestions for other really cool tools out there are also appreciated.

thanks for your help,

Lynn Cole
