An area that has not been discussed is the tongue tie dental
implications... the "lay" of the tongue in the mouth determines the
dental structure... those baby;s who tongue is deeply notched -
orthodonticure may correct but the moment the braces come off the teeth
will move back to where they were.

  Ones ability to move food from the front of the tongue to the back
requires tongue mobility/ likewise the moving of saliva

 Additionally the ability to "clean" the teeth and gums of food particles
again requires tongue mobility...
