Sharon, it’s a bachelor’s degree AND one of the listed credentials. Beth, you and I think alike. I’m just wondering why a Sanitarian could join ADA, but some of the wonderful people on this list who have PhDs and are IBCLCs might not meet the criteria. Personally, I’m not suggesting that any IBCLC actually give ADA money for, ahem, the, ahem member privileges and Associate Member would have.

I just wonder whether ADA even approached anyone at IBLCE in ADA’s efforts to “enhance the collaborative nature of work...that reflects ADA’s values and philosophy...”. I’m of the opinion that IBLCE should not want to collaborate given ADA’s said values, philosophy and, ahem, funding, but before I shoot my letter to the ADA President, any facts about this are welcome.

Feel free to e-mail me off-list. I’m happy to collect sentiments and include them anonymously in my letter to Ms. Escott-Stump!
