A pump would be nice, but here's a technique we used feeding a hundred or so hives. We had syrup in drums, and a hand truck with which you could set a barrel on its side. So, we would go to the yards with a couple of barrels of syrup. The drum was fitted with a honey gate on the lid, so when it was set on its side, you could open it and pour. 

We had a big pitcher that held two gallons, which we filled and then dumped into the feeders. With two people you could go fast enough. One would open and close the hives and the other would fill the feeders. Or, you could use several pitchers and have one person justing filling them up. 

All the same, a bucket on top is a lot less bother, as you fill it back in the warehouse.
