Greetings,

I am looking for archaeologically-recovered examples of safety and
security coffins.

Safety systems, through various means, would alert those above ground if
the "deceased" had inadvertently been buried alive; security systems were
to prevent bodies being exhumed by body snatchers/resurrection men.

I have documentary evidence that they existed -- patents and advertising
-- but haven't been able to identify them in published archaeological
reports.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!
Regards,
Megan Springate, MA, RPA
