ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Walter,

I'm working with a project called The Truth About Trees (
www.truthabouttrees.org), which includes a 3-part PBS series plus a
participatory story-project in collaboration with citizen forester groups
in several locations throughout the United States. The series (subtitled A
Natural and Human History) looks at basic tree biology, deep connections
with humans, and last of all, trees and the biosphere. Our intention is to
approach climate change from a very grassroots (or tree roots) perspective.
Most people have attachments to and memories of trees and woodlands, and
benefit tangibly in so many ways from trees. Our hope is to approach the
overwhelming topic of climate change within the context of something we all
know and can do something about. I hope old friends in the museum field
will connect with us on Facebook (TruthAboutTrees).
