Permission to post: Mom with symptoms of mastitis, pus coming from her nipple cultured positive for MRSA. She was given Cipro for the infection. Baby (8 months old) had continued to nurse until culture came back. Has been pumping and dumping since culture. How long should she wait before putting the baby back on the breast and what symptoms would the baby have from the infected milk?
