Clearly, melting stuff is an issue that ASTC'ers care deeply about! I'm
told you can even do human faces if you can just acquire the Ark of...
never mind.

Perhaps more feasible is gallium (which makes the titular utensil in
"The Disappearing Spoon"). Or make two blocks of ice - one normal ice,
the other Pykrete (a mix of water + sawdust which, when frozen, melts
slower and is a lot harder than normal ice). Quart or half gallon sized
milk cartons work well for making the ice blocks.
