Hi,

We've been using FileMaker for the development of a 16,000 sq ft  
museum project from Strategic through Final Design- much the same way  
you listed. It's worked pretty well.

I have investigated other tools, but this is quite user-friendly.  
Also, we used FileMaker at the Exploratorium for exhibit maintenance  
tracking. Again, the advantage there that it was fairly easy to use by  
a variety of staff.

If you are starting from scratch, I might recommend hiring someone to  
help you set it up for your needs if you don't have someone in-house  
to help you with it.
