ASTC members, it's not too late to participate in this year's Roy L. Shafer Leading Edge Award competition. Now you'll have more time as well: the new deadline for submissions is TUESDAY, APRIL 13.

AWARD CATEGORIES:

Leading Edge for Leadership in the Field--for staffers, mentors, trailblazers.

Leading Edge for Business Practice--for bottom line-changing programs, projects, practices.

Leading Edge for Visitor Experience--for successful and innovative exhibitions, education programs, visitor services.

Separate awards will go to large and small institutions and to new staff members, as well as seasoned staff. The Leading Edge Awards honor exemplary accomplishments in visitor experience, business practice, and staff leadership since January 2007.

Each award will consist of a glass "Edgie" presented during the 2010 ASTC Annual Conference in Honolulu, plus a paid registration to the 2011 ASTC Annual Conference in Baltimore, Maryland. Awardees will receive recognition in ASTC Dimensions, on the ASTC web site, and in a widely distributed press release.

Visit www.astc.org/about/awards/leading_edge.htm for details, nomination forms, and to learn about past recipients.
