You can use duct tape to patch your Starlab dome - but don't use cheap duct tape! It tends to peel off and get all gooey ad dirt sticks to it. A better option is a good quality cloth gaffer's tape. You can often find it on websites that sell audiovisual and video equipment or theater supply companies. You can get it in different colors you might be able to find one that matches the dome.
I have not tried this with a Starlab dome, but a more permanent solution is to glue patches on with ordinary craft store fabric glue. You can cut your own patches if you have a swatch of dome material.
