Holly writes: The breastmilk that won't freeze  is in our very nice  
state-of-the-art commercial freezer in out NICN unit. If you do an advanced  
search on Lactnet using freeze as your key word you willl find 16 posts about  
this subject. It obviously has happened to a number of other interested 
persons.  However, there are no explanations. Would you concur that we can use the 
milk as  usual?

The only time I've  ever seen this (worked in NICU for 25 yr.) milk was 
found to be high in  alcohol...i.e. mother was probably an alcoholic.  One 
case--certainly there  may be other reasons.
