ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

At a time when museum are looking for ways to do more with less while striving to become in integral part of the community, partnerships and collaborations just make sense. Join Minnetrista and WonderLab on April 17th for the ASTC RAP "Creating Educational Partnerships". Participants will spend time discussing, brainstorming, and problem solving as they:
1-Explore how museums and other institutions of learning can co-create successful, worthwhile endeavors to support their missions and margins.
2-Examine two established and evolving museum/university relationships focused on Professional Development Schools networks (Minnetrista and Ball State University) as well as teacher professional development and research grants (WonderLab Museum and Indiana University).
3-Discuss ways in which this idea could be implemented at your own institution; determine the needs of each partner, identify potential stakeholders, and generate a new perspective on collaborations.

RAP Registration includes lunch and tickets to "After Five: Disease Detectives" on April 16th. Overnight accommodations will be provided for the first seven registrants.

ASTC RAPs (Roundtables for Advancing the Professions) provide a forum for museum professionals to network, learn together, and expand their knowledge base. Hosted by ASTC-member institutions worldwide, these small-group weekend intensives have covered a wide range of topics-from camp-ins and youth programs to information-technology trends and outdoor science parks. Participation fees, which help to defray host museum costs, are generally US$50 for employees of ASTC-member institutions and US$100 for nonmembers (actual cost is determined by RAP host).
