The Florida Public Archaeology Network Coordinating Center, University of
West Florida, is seeking a Public Archaeologist (Coordinator) for the North
Central Florida region which covers 15 counties.  This position will be
based in Tallahassee.  The Public Archaeologist will assist the Executive
Director with the development and delivery of outreach programs, and the
establishment of collaborative relationships between the Center and the
public in north central Florida (including local governments, students,
volunteers, and civic organizations.).  For information on the Florida

Minimum qualifications are: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of
specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of
specialization and two years of appropriate experience.  Preferred
qualifications are a Master’s degree in anthropology with a specialization
in archeology; knowledge of the archaeological and historical resources in
north central Florida and federal laws and regulations governing
archaeological practice; experience in working with and communicating with
the public; Registered Professional Archaeologist.

Salary $30,000-$40,000.  This is a time-limited position with benefits which
