Each summer a lot of our Monday - Friday attendance is summer camp groups that have included a trip to our Science Centre as part of their week long program. The attendance is great and the children have a great time. However, often the large groups of these campers are not as well supervised as we'd like (either in form of supervision or the number of supervisors present) and we find we get
complaints from other visitor groups noting the day camps negatively impacted their time at the museum. 
We have amended our operational policies to do our best ensure the right number of supervisors come and they are managing their groups appropriately. 
My question today is to ask if other museums or science centres have done any kind of special programming specifically for these camp groups, and if so, what does it look like. Or, if attendance by these day camp groups is limited to certain days and marketed to them as such? Or any other ideas to manage these large crowds? Any feedback as we look forward to our summer planning would be very
helpful.
