Dear Colleagues,

You are invited to register for the California Association of Museums
Conference in San Francisco!  CAM is pleased to announce that it will be
hosting its next conference, Building Bridges: Collaboration / Innovation /
Risk, in San Francisco, California, February 25-27, 2009 at the Hotel Kabuki
in the heart of Japantown. There is a buzz of excitement surrounding this
meeting and we want you to be a part of it. 

The early bird deadline is January 9, 2009 (CAM Members $250 / Nonmembers
$325).

The conference will feature: 

*	over 32 educational sessions and several half and full-day workshops
- with presenters from over 50 museums; 
*	a keynote program with the directors of San Francisco's largest
museums, moderated by Don Sanchez, the arts and entertainment reporter for
ABC7 
*	exciting evening events at the new California Academy of Sciences,
the de Young Museum, the California Historical Society, the Museum of the
African Diaspora, and The Exploratorium; 
*	a Saturday morning brunch at the new Contemporary Jewish Museum,
followed by tours in at least eight museums in the Yerba Buena District; 
*	a Director's Luncheon program with Scott Shafer, Host of The
California Report, a statewide radio news program; and 
*	an exhibit hall with over 20 museum service providers.
