I remember on one occasion, I was perusing the classical offerings of a
Border's Books near Boston. At that time, they had a more than passable
classical selection, and in one slot near the Mahler Symphony recordings
was a card that read: "If you enjoyed these recordings, you may also
enjoy recordings of pieces by Bruckner, Richard Strauss and Hans Rott".
That't the first time I can recall encountering his name, so I subsequently
looked him up in Wikipedia. It seemed odd that Border's mentioned his
name on its card, but there were no Hans Rott recordings.
