ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Once again a dip into this pool of knowledge...

Among our School Discovery Areas, we have a 2-hour and 1-hour robotics
program for visiting student groups, k-12, at our science center.
Students work in 6 teams, 4 students per team, constructing, programming
and testing robots, while working at 6 workstations with computers and
internet connectivity. Overall, it is an immersive, experiential
learning environment for the students. Now, we want to add a new
Engineering-type program in this space over one of the topics of:
construction, environmental design, or renewable energy production. As
an example, I thought of using Kapla building blocks to make a structure
and doing quake and wind testing. The budget for any new equipment is
not a big issue with a current funder. Does anybody have suggestions,
or examples of 2-hour programs that cover these Engineering topics?
Materials you might use? If you have experience and details, please
share.

Thanks for the input, as always.
