Hi Eva
(Eva is my daughter's and grandmother's name - we love it!). I am pretty
sure you'll have trouble finding evidence to support the use of infant
formula in the second half of the first year (although most public health
authorities seem to recommend it). I would suggest that this mum offers
nutrient dense solids (meat; dairy; fresh veg; ground nuts; whole grains)
and watches the baby. If he starts crossing W/AgeZ centiles on the WHO
Growth Reference, then it might be time to think about whether he needs a
fortified milk.
Cheers
