The usual mix ( in archives ) used in fall. I have used OA on package bees
as well as sucracide mix.

I think the process helps and easy to do. The Aussies recommend dunking each
package in water before releasing. A process I have considered but rejected
as uneccessary. Done mainly for ease of installation and to help prevent
drifting. I imagine those which use the practice could add OA or succricide
without a problem.

I drive through the yard with the package bees on a pallet and sit each
package on a hive then treat while on the lid. Pull the lid and install the
package after the succricideb (OA) has ran out.

I keep my bees on four way pallets and install packages late in the day but
always get some drift. I equalize by taking frames of bees and shaking into
hives short on bees before the queens are released. can be a pain but goes
pretty fast.
