I'm not sure of what you computer set up is and I'm not sure what you
are needing that doesn't show up in the info section of iTunes? I know
iTunes doesn't provide you with a database of all classical music BUT
when you record your CD into iTunes it will do an internet search and
put in most of the info you need. When you insert your CD into the
computer then i Tunes will search for album artwork and album info.
(This saves a lot of typing) After that you can fine tune your album
info. For example....

Song: Beethoven Sym 05 1 Allegro con brio
Artist: Roger Norrington (conductor), London Classical Players
Album: Beethoven Symphony No. 5
Composer: Beethoven, Ludwig van (1770-1827)
Genre: Symphony
Track 1 of 4
Grouping: I like to categorize the musical period i.e., Classical,
Romantic, Baroque, etc.

If you don't want to rerecord your CD's onto your Computer using I Tunes.
then perhaps you could just create a simple data base with the above
fields.

Whether you use Classicat, a personal database, or iTunes....there still
will be plenty of keyboard work to do.

Happy Cataloguing!
