I just spoke with a lady who is breastfeeding her 4 month old.
Her mother has had a mastectomy with "radiation implants" the nursing mom
doesn't know what kind of radiation other than to say that the doctor told her
not to get very close to her mom for 6 hours. Tc-99m?
She wants to know if she should pump and dump or continue to breastfeed as
normal.
I have never posted, but I have learned ALOT from your wisdom!
I would appreciate any light anyone could shed on this.
Many thanks,
Joyce, RNC, IBCLC
