Pharmacist will not be labeling the milk. They will however enter the order for EBM into the system We will get a print out of labels with baby's bar code on it.  We are in the process of beginning the writing / working out our policy.  If others have already instituted their policy who labels the milk at Mom's bedside? RN or MOM? It's like drawing bloodwork in a patient's room. All tubes of blood have to be properly identified at the patient's bedside by the person drawing the blood. I believe we will do the same with EBM, labeling at the bedside before it leaves the mother's room and gets placed in a bin in refrigerator with baby's information there as well.
