Subject: [LACTNET] Failure Versus Triumph, a paradigm difference

**That is... if you choose to fight your attacker. :-)
That is something different than struggling with your inner enemies.
Some people would say: "I'd rather fight for something than against
something else."

> I'm intensely uncomfortable with models that break down societal

**You can die and be a winner and live and be a loser. Depends on your
paradigm and your frame of reference.

That some people with
> disabilities 'triumph over disaster', whilst others 'give in'. Or that

**You are utterly free to do that and also to disagree with me.
I don't feel attacked by that, nor feel the need to fight against it. ;o)

So... once again... happy days, filled with a sense of inner strength to all
on and off this list!

Warmly,

Marianne Vanderveen, Netherlands (and indeed still putting in many hours
against the dreadful guideline and in the meantime becoming stronger and
stronger and a more useful resource for others)
