hi Sarah,

Several years ago, I helped develop a similar field trip program at the
California Science Center called ThinkSCIENCE Pathways. It consisted of
student activity sheets available for download from the net and a teacher/
chaperon guide. The activities tried to be more than the fill-in-the-blank
scavenger hunt types and focused on visitors doing stuff in the galleries.
The idea was to give visitors a "pathway" focused on a particular theme
through a gallery. One of the activities was to stop and interact with one
of our live presenters who would do a presentation in the gallery that
connected to the theme of the pathway. Anyway, I believe these materials are
still available to download from the Science Center's site. Of course, they
may not reveal much when not seen in conjunction with the galleries, but
they might help.

I used the book "Teach the Mind, Touch the Spirit" as inspiration when I
developed these.
