Hi Cindy,
I come from the same sort of place.  Here is what we did.  For a while moms 
went to PACU just like yours and babies and dads went to the rooms.  
sometimes depending on how many pt are recovering in the PACU we could let 
the babies go to moms skin/skin.  Now, we are bringing back the moms to their 
birthing rooms and recovering them their.  With s/o and babies.  All our Labor 
Nurses are trained to do recovery's.  Hope this helps.
