Allison -

Our Birthday Party Program works well. We have part time staff (high school and college students) work as birthday hosts on the weekends. We have private rooms that are used during the week for field trip groups to bring lunches and so on weekends, these rooms are used for the birthday parties. Our birthday party package includes a 2 ½ hour party with the use of one of the private rooms and all day Museum admission for them and their guests. The birthday host leads the children in a hands-on activity (they can choose between making slime, building a volcano and having it erupt, or making alka-seltzer rockets) and also takes them into the Museum allowing them to explore and play in the Museum. The family brings in any food and drink that they want and they also may bring in some extra decorations. The party package is for up to 15 children and 20 adults. We charge $10.00/child over the 15 limit. We provide all of the paper products (invitations, plates, napkins, cups, utensils), a goody bag for each child, and a Museum t-shirt for the birthday child. We don't have many problems supervising the children because most of the parents stay with their children. I hope this helps!
