Subject: 11th hour push (ASTC 2008 proposal)

Hi all,

I've been working on recruiting co-presenters for an ASTC 2008
session through various channels and wanted to make one last push for
anyone interested in getting involved.

I was toying with a title of "Why is diversity important?" with
potential talking points revolving around the following:
- How are centers handling issues of diversity as they relate to
visitorship and staff;
- What are the various contextual definitions of diversity,
specifically within the science center setting;
- How does one help staff to understand and value the importance of
diversity (my personal interest);

I was picturing a workshop format with a mix of presentation and
small group discussion.

Hannah Shepherd from the ThinkTank (Birmingham, UK; access &
inclusion officer) has tentatively agreed to co-present.

Everything best,

Jamie Alonzo
