IGLO/ASTC pre conference session at the Aquarium of the Pacific, Long Beach,
California.

In addition to the scheduled presentations of NOAA Administrator Conrad
Lautenbacher, NASA scientist Waleed Abdalati, and NOAA researcher Keith
Dixon on the latest climate relate scientific issues, the afternoon breakout
sessions also will include excellent contributors.

Among them, Mike Walsh, cofounder and president of Envision, has agreed to
lead the breakout group on the topic "Decision support at free choice
learning centers." Mike is the system architect of Envision's MetroQuest
and PowerQuest products and is responsible for the technical creation and
evolution of QUEST software. MetroQuest is an interactive planning support
tool that evaluates alternative future scenarios on the fly, facilitates the
creation of sustainable visions, and supports the implementation of smarter
plans. Mike has worked with a Vancouver science center on the use of a
decision theater relative to environmental issues. He will introduce the
discussion and animate the debate from Vancouver via video conference.

Every day we receive more exciting information about leading players in the
field of research and science communication who are joining us for the
program. Make sure to check <http://www.astc.org/iglo> www.astc.org/iglo
regularly for up-to-date information. If you have not yet registered, please
