We have the same problems here and it makes it so frustrating to know that
people bearing our credentials are so incompetent.  One IBCLC who was
interviewed for a magazine article said that if a baby is breastfed for more
than one year, it will cause psychological damage, that could result in
sexual deviation.  Moms became hysterical..because the IBCLC after a name
should mean that the person quoted is giving the best information possible.


Newbies have to understand that once they use the credential, they represent
all of us, and have to be most careful of what they say, how they behave,
and what they do.  

Do any of you have a local disciplinary committee?  How would that work? I
think we should have that here.  The lactasaurs could sit on that committee
and review cases and try to work with those unconscious incompetents, (
brilliant term Marianne).
