Good to know she doesn't feel that way all the time. I had severe post partum depression following the birth of my first child and was stubborn (didn't realize what it was for a while, also) and didn't get medication until about 16 months post partum - about 14 months later than I should have. The list you posted that mom feels at let-down is how I felt 100% of the time for the first year of my son's life until I got on meds and started to feel normal again. Thankfully my PPD went away in late 2004 (first baby born 2000, had a seocnd in 2003 - went off meds during PGcy and back on again within weeks of her birth) and hasn't returned even with having had a third baby since being off meds.
