Mary, this is really helpful! It would be wonderful if someone
locally could contact them in a friendly way, and do a little
advocacy for breastfeeding moms and babies. It certainly sounds as
if you've had a lot of success in educating moms (and others) using
the existing laws, and building up their confidence in meeting their
babies needs wherever they happen to be!
It is the MOPS International organization - Mothers of
Preschoolers. The meetings take place in a church in Conroe,
Texas. However, this is a nationwide organization by the looks of
it, with 3900 groups across the US and in 35 other countries around
the world. So a successful outcome would be very good! Here is some
of the information I found out about the organization on the internet:

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS International exists to
meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban and rural moms,
stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms - moms
with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the
very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from
infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child
relationship and are filled with unique needs.

MOPS groups are communities that strive to meet the needs of every
mom with children from birth through kindergarten. MOPS recognizes
that urban, suburban, and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms,
teen, single, and married moms all share a similar desire to be the
very best moms they can be. MOPS groups can help!
There are more than 3900 MOPS groups meeting across the United States
and in 35 countries around the world. MOPS groups meet regularly to
celebrate the joys of motherhood and to encourage each other through
the challenges.

What Does a MOPS Group Look Like?
A MOPS group is a dynamic, inviting environment where women can
come-just as they are to build friendships, be encouraged and gain
practical parenting strategies. All while their children are lovingly
cared for in the MOPPETS program.

The Purpose of MOPPETS. Mothers care deeply about their children.
They'll instinctively look to meet their child's needs before
thinking about their own. A mom needs assurance about her child's
well being and happiness before she can get the most of her time in
MOPS. The MOPPETS ministry contributes to meeting the needs of
children, as well as the needs of their moms.....
Thank you, Mary
Pamela
