Unfortunately, lactation does not confer any type of protected status under state/fed discrimination laws unless there is an affirmative statute. 
I am looking for Barb Whitehead (I think she was ill). I was contacted about a situation in NC, and I believe she's been very active in lactation community there. If there's anyone active in NC, please contact me off list
